If you’re visiting Kyoto with kids and want a fun outdoor experience—but without the long hike—LOGOS LAND might be exactly what you’re looking for.

It’s not a hiking trail, but it’s a large park-and-resort complex where families can enjoy nature, play on huge playgrounds, and even stay overnight in stylish camping-style rooms.

LOGOS LAND is especially recommended for families with young children, around early elementary school age. For us, it was the perfect half-day outing to let the kids burn off energy while the adults enjoyed some fresh air.

A Quick Overview

LOGOS LAND is an outdoor-themed facility in Joyo City, just south of Kyoto. The Japanese outdoor brand LOGOS runs it, so the entire place has a camping and nature vibe—colorful buildings, wooden details, and even the cheerful slogan “ENJOY OUTING!” written across the buildings.

The site includes:

  • Large grassy areas for picnics and free play
  • Huge playground equipment and a giant roller slide
  • A bouncy dome called Fuwafuwa Dome
  • BBQ areas (reservation required)
  • Accommodations (glamping cabins and hotel-style rooms)
  • A restaurant (open only on certain days — check in advance)

Admission is free, making it easy to stop by for a couple of hours without worrying about the cost.

Highlights from Our Visit

🌈 1. Giant Playground

One of the main attractions is the massive playground area.

You’ll find tall towers, spiral tube slides, rope nets, and long wooden bridges—on a scale you rarely see in city parks. My kids were so excited that they didn’t stop moving. Meanwhile, we parents relaxed on benches with a good view of the whole area.

☁️ 2. Fuwafuwa Dome(Bouncy Dome)

This soft, white trampoline-like area is a favorite among younger children. It has a series of “small hills” where kids can bounce, run, roll, or slide down.

It almost feels like walking on clouds—and it’s safe and fun.

🛝 3. The Roller Slide

The roller slide goes down a grassy hill and is a must-try.

At the bottom, you can borrow a plastic seat pad to protect your backside—highly recommended, as the ride can be long and bumpy without it! Adults can slide down together with kids, but please be careful not to bump into others.

From the top, you can enjoy a nice view of the city and the surrounding green hills.

🏠 4. The Main Building

The eye-catching building near the entrance houses the reception, hotel rooms, and a small LOGOS outdoor gear shop.

There’s a restaurant offering casual meals, but it’s not open every day, so we recommend bringing your food and drinks. On sunny days, the outdoor terrace is a great place to relax while keeping an eye on the kids.
